Strawberry Quartz is the pink Quartz that typically contains a mixture of Goethite and Iron Oxide within the crystalline matrix.
The color of each Strawberry Quartz specimen can range from light pink to a deep raspberry red. The depth of the color typically depends on the levels of Goethite and Iron within each stone. Some Strawberry Quartz can show red “freckles” throughout the quartz matrix, whereas others might be a deep red with very little hint of the clear Quartz.
Mexico and Africa produce a majority of the world’s Strawberry Quartz.
