Sodalite is rock-forming mineral best known for its intense denim-like coloring.

Midnight Sodalite is the highest quality of Sodalite that we’ve found to date. The depth and darkness of the blues is simply unmatched in nature. This natural coloring gives the feeling of the height of a nighttime stroll through a dark and peaceful area.

Sodalite occurs in igneous rocks that crystallized from sodium-rich magmas. This member of the Feldspar family is often confused with Lapis Lazuli due to the depth of its blue coloring. You can usually tell the difference between the two because Sodalite often contains white veining that isn't as prevalent in Lapis. You can also differentiate between them by searching for Pyrite inclusions — which often signals the presence of Lapis.
