Botswana Agate is considered the most royal of all Agate stones — mostly due to it's regal banding and striking colors that range from the deepest grays and blacks to the finest of salmon pinks.

Agate is a form of chalcedony. Botswana Agate is a variation that's typically found in the Bobonong district of Botswana. The finely detailed bands in this stone are formed by the repeated floods in the area, as well as the slow-moving lava waves over the various level of stone. Those waves lay down multiple layers of silica and quartz that create the brilliant banding.

This form of agate takes a very long time to form. The more layers and bands you find on a stone, the longer it took to form.

All tumbled stones are priced and sold individually, unless otherwise noted.

Due to the unique qualities in each stone, sizes can vary from 0.75 inches to 1.75 inches per stone.
